The following is a list of Agencies, State and Government Departments that we currently network with for a wide range of services. For your convenience we have provided their contact information and a brief description of the service(s) they provide. For best results, prior to contacting them, we suggest that you review this information so that you will address your questions to the relevant office(s).


AFFILIATIONS

NAC Accreditation

Tampa Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. is accredited by the National Accreditation Council for Agencies Serving the Blind and Visually Handicapped (NAC). NAC evaluates participating agencies by nationally accepted standards which are used to evaluate quality of services and programs.

National Industries for the Blind

National Industries for the Blind (NIB) allocates purchase contracts of the federal government to qualified associated industries for the blind including Tampa Lighthouse for the Blind. NIB is designated by the President's Committee for Purchase from Blind and Other Severely Handicapped to make such allocations to industries for the blind.

FUNDING SOURCES

Department of Children and Families

The Supported Employment program is funded in part by contract with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families.

Division of Blind Services

Rehabilitation and service programs are funded in part by contract with the State of Florida, Department of Education, Division of Blind Services.

Other Funding Sources

Include the City of Tampa, the City of Winter Haven, the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners, and the Polk County Board of County Commissioners.  Additional funding is provided by charitable foundations, and donations by private citizens, and various clubs and organizations.

United Way of Tampa Bay

As a member agency of the United Way of Tampa Bay, Tampa Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. receives a significant portion of its financial support from annual United Way campaigns for the Hillsborough Community.

United Way of Central Florida

As a member agency of the United Way of Central Florida, Tampa Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. receives a portion of its financial support from annual United Way campaigns for Central Florida.
